From the Executive Director...

Good evening music lovers and devoted supporters of the Riverside County Philharmonic! As the new Executive Director of the Philharmonic it is my privilege to welcome you to this evening’s performance.

Please allow me to take this opportunity to introduce myself and give you some idea of my background. For most of my professional life I have maintained two careers – one as an arts administrator and the other as a performing musician. I began my studies as a solo pianist and then devoted more time to work as a collaborative pianist in lieder, opera, and chamber music. I have Bachelor and Master’s Degrees from Florida State University and a Doctor of Music Arts Degree from the University of Southern California. I studied and worked in Vienna, New York, Boston and LA. I began my arts administration work with the Houston Ballet, Houston Grand Opera and Alley Theatre. I have held positions as Marketing Director of the Orlando Opera and the Southern Ballet Theatre and was most recently the Executive Director of the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony and General Manager of the Nimoy Concert Series.

I am very excited about the opportunity to work with the Riverside County Philharmonic. Through my work in LA, I met several of the players in the orchestra who gave glowing a ccounts of its concerts and the prowess of its highly respected Music Director, Maestro Patrick Flynn. It is also exiting to work in such a vibrant, growing community as Riverside County. The key to every performing arts community is a strong, vital symphony orchestra and my goal is to help the Philharmonic’s hard-working Board of Directors and the local community provide the resources so the orchestra can reach its full potential. Along with the Mission Inn, the Riverside Municipal Museum, and the Riverside Arts Museum, the Riverside County Philharmonic is a major cultural treasure which all residents can take great pride in.
